Myrtle Beach Golf
Vacations
Being a golfer and a third generation Californian I have a
growing desire to leave my comfort zone in the West coast and
discover new golf courses in other beautiful areas of the
United States. Probably South Carolina, located on the East
coast’s Atlantic coastline, is one of the most beautiful
golfing locations. The people are friendly and eager to extend
that special southern hospitality and charm that they are so
well known for.
Myrtle Beach is located on the coast in beautiful South
Carolina and is considered to be the “Golf Capital of the
World.” There are over 100 challenging courses all within a
reasonable driving distance of many luxury hotels and condos in
the area. During a one week golfing vacation you could
literally play on a different course each day.
If you are like me and most other golfers you are always
looking for that great golfing vacation deal on Myrtle
Beach golf vacations. If you dig deep and search hard you
can find a resort style luxury hotel for the price of a
“Motel.” These discounts can be found all year round but May is
the best time of year to look for these specials for three
reasons:
The courses are in great condition
The weather is beautiful
“Off Season” prices are still in effect
In early spring the greens are in pristine condition. There
is still a little nip in the air in the early morning but by
half way through your game the weather will be perfect, not too
hot and not too cool. The “off season” prices apply to your
green fees as well as hotels. In addition, the courses, hotels
and restaurants are all far less crowded.
Myrtle Beach is also located on the “Grand Strand”, a 60
mile crescent of beach that has earned the title of #1 family
beach in America. So, while you are enjoying your golf vacation
the kids can enjoy the many amusement or water parks, miniature
golf and shopping malls or just hang out at the beach.
Since you are saving money on one of the packages available
with Myrtle Beach golf vacations you can experience a live show
in the evening. The area is home to the Carolina Opry and to
Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede, Medieval Times, Legends in
Concert, The Palace, the Alabama Theatre and more.
You will not be disappointed with a golf vacation in Myrtle
Beach, South Carolina. Be careful, you may decide to pack up
the kids and move to the east coast with the warm waters of the
Atlantic Ocean and the warm and friendly people.
